My take on PTPTN demo

So they have a demo. In the demo they put Najib picture. And they go on and put a flower as if Najib passed away and offering prayer (or so).

This is wrong. The right way is to do it the muslim way. Najib is a muslim. So we need to kafan, do sembahyang jenazah, then usung the jenazah all the way to kubur, kebumikan, bacakan talkin….

You see. If do like this, there will be lots of pengajaran yang kita akan akan dapat.

Kita belajar Fardhu Kifayah. Kita dah belajar untuk menjalankan kerja – kerja yang orang lain (mostly) tak nak buat.

Kita berkerja sama dalam menguruskan jenazah. Ada leader yang guide, ada follower yang mengikut. Perhaps kita boleh adakan lebih dari satu jenazah Najib. So kita ada kumpulan. Then kita boleh bandingkan kumpulan mana yang lebih sempurna pengurusan jenazahnya….

Kita juga turut bekerjasama dalam mengusung dan mengebumikan jenazah Najib.

Selepas itu kita boleh insaf mendengar talkin yang dibacakan. Wahai anak adam… bla bla bla (Oh! I pun tak ingat apa inti sari talkin, kena attend jugak la aku ni…)

Jadi soalannya…. Nak buat benda ni, kat kelas pengurusan jenazah dah boleh buat semua benda ni.

Exactly! Pergi kelas pengurusan jenazah lagi bagus dari demo tak tentu pasal ni.

Hutang wajib bayar. Nak tentang pasal interest & service charge, go on. Nak hapuskan hutang 100%? Jauh sikit.

So PR nak offer hapuskan hutang 100%? Lets vote them to be the real government first, then we do DEMO to demand their PROMISE (if they dont do that).

Sync your Box in linux with davfs2

I got 50gb space on Box.com last time for opening an account through Sony Ericsson android phone (Later all user got the same 50gb space).

However their desktop sync (available only for Windows and Mac) is only for paid user. I dont know how do they expect user to utilize all the 50gb space without desktop sync program available to them.

For comparison dropbox come with 2gb only, but have client for all (ok maybe not, but cover more than box did).

Now I browse around and found that Linux user can sync using davfs2. [Source]

Here what you need to do: (Here is tested working on my Fedora 16 LXDE box)

As root:
yum install davfs2
adduser -a -G <user> davfs2
echo “https://www.box.com/dav /home/<user>/box.net davfs rw,user,noauto 0 0″ > /etc/fstab
chmod u+s /usr/sbin/mount.davfs

Replace <user> with your own username (without < & >)

As <user> (your own user, exit from root):
mkdir ~/box.net
mkdir ~/.davfs2
echo “use_locks 0″ > ~/.davfs2/davfs2.conf
echo “https://www.box.com/dav <email> <password>” > ~/.davfs2/secrets
chmod 600 ~/.davfs2/secrets
mount /home/myuser/box.net

Replace <email> with email you use to login to box (without < & >)
Replace <password> with password you login to box (without < & >)

After that when you open box.net folder in your user directory, it should load your box folder and files. Congrats!

How to upgrade latest Nvidia driver for Dell Vostro 3700

I hate Dell for this. I hate Nvidia for keep it quiet too.

This issues has been actively discussed on both Dell & Nvidia forums. While Dell representative is quite helpful, Nvidia just keep it quiet. But in the end, Dell also not doing anything.

The issues for this specific model Dell Vostro 3300 and 3700 is using Switchable GPU. Means you’re able to run on NVidia GPU (some one 330M, some on 310M etc) when you need it like for gaming. But when not needed you’ll run on Intel HD and thus saving battery life. The idea is good.

However, you’re limited to Dell provided driver only. And they’re not updating it. At first this was no issues for me, as I’m able to play all of my game. This become a problem when I can’t play Need For Speed Run. Because it required me to have latest graphic driver. How old is the driver? Now is the end of 2011, Dell driver is from 2010…. Duh!

Somehow Dell did not put disabling command in BIOS to. The Dell representative said, in pre-production BIOS the command is available…. But not available on production one. But it’s confusing one because in manual it have. And as one of the user point it out, the Dell support Level 2 simply said just return the unit and get a different unit without the problem. Why we buy from Dell anyway?

So here is how:

  1. Uninstall NVidia Driver
  2. Run Nasty File Remover (Please download from reputable website)
  3. Download Intel HD driver from Intel web
  4. Download NVidia Latest Driver from NVidia Web
  5. Install Intel HD driver first.
  6. It might not work, so after restart you need to go to Device Manager -> Display Adapter -> 1st VGA device, do Update Driver and browse for Intel HD driver you just download
  7. After restart again, you will see you get back your normal resolution (1600 x 900). First step successful! Congrats! Clap! Clap! Clap!
  8. Now go to Device Manager again. Go for the only VGA device (another one is Intel HD, which we install driver already) -> Right Click, Properties -> Details ->Select “Hardware ID”
  9. You need to copy the Hardware ID. I recommend to copy it to Notepad.
  10. Run Nvidia Installer
  11. When it says No Hardware Detected, just cancel it.
  12. Browse to where you extract the Nvidia Driver.
  13. Find the file name “nvam.inf”
  14. Edit this file in Notepad (I use notepad++)
  15. You need to find this line -> NVIDIA_DEV.0A35.06 = “NVIDIA GeForce GT 325M     ”  (yes including the space and “)
  16. Press Enter. Paste this -> NVIDIA_DEV.0A29.01 = “NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M” (yes including the “)
  17. Then find this line -> %NVIDIA_DEV.0A35.06% = Section048, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A35&SUBSYS_1F171043
  18. Press Enter, Paste this -> %NVIDIA_DEV.0A29.01% = Section050, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A29&SUBSYS_044F1028
  19. Save the “nvam.inf” file
  20. Re-run the NVidia setup again
  21. Now you should be able to install driver already.
  22. After restart, you will have the NVidia Control Panel icon on taskbar
  23. You’re done

So you get it now? In NVidia drivers they dont have our hardware/device ID, so how in the hell the driver installer going to detect it? So the steps above simple adding our hardware ID into the installer list. Thats all. Oh, the Intel HD part? Because NVidia require the Intel HD to install first.

Now you can configure in control panel on which application to use NVidia GPU, or set it to auto. (This part I’m still experimenting)

Now I can run Need for Speed Run. But NVidia GPU will overheat and laptop will shutdown. This is another issues that has been discussed, poor airflow design by Dell for Vostro 3700 cause this. (This also I’m still experimenting on how to deal with it)

Tulis lain, buat lain

Senang cerita cakap tak serupa bikin. Cerita dia macam ni. Aku nak poskan kamera Dslr ke Melaka. Sadly dah jual Nikon D40x aku. Kerana terdesak perlukan duit, jual la. Bukak harga mahal sikit, lepas nego dan tolak barang yang dia tak nak, so jual lah ia….

Jadi aku pegi ke Skynet. So sekarang ni memang aku tak prepare apa, kamera masuk dalam beg, ikat beg ketat – ketat. Cukupla padding dekat bag tu. Jadi kat Skynet aku kata, aku nak pos kamera, ke Melaka. Problem pertama, takder kotak. Tanyalah aku kepada awek kaunter tersebut (kenapa semua kat kaunter mesti awek?) ade kotak tak. Dia masuk dalam dan cari. Lama la jugak, cam 10 ~ 20 minit camtu.

Bila dah keluar, dia bawak la kotak Skynet. Sekali ada lagi sorang staff ni keluar sekali….

(Pendek cerita, ni perbualan dengan staff tersebut)

Staff: Kami tak accept valueble items.
Aku: (Tunjuk ke dinding, ade notis Skynet) Ini takder tulis pun.
Staff: Oh! Diorang lupa letak la tu.

Oh. WTF moment. Apekebende notis camtu pun boleh diorang pertikaikan.

Staff: Kami boleh terima tapi tak jamin la (Pulak?? Tadi kata tak accept).
Aku: Saya tak kisah, sekarang ni boleh letak padding sikit tak, kertas ke.
Staff: Ni valueble items, kami tak jamin, nanti hilang ka, rosak ka, kami tak boleh bayar.
Aku: Memanglah korang tak boleh bayar pun…… (Duh!)

Time ni dia dah cakap – cakap ngan staff lagi sorang. Pastu cakap bahasa ibunda dia yang aku tak paham.

Staff: Bukan apa, nanti kamera ni diorang baling – baling nanti kamera rosak.
Aku: Ni, kat kotak “Handle with care” ? (refer kepada kotak Skynet)
Staff: Pukul 2 pagi dalam van, mana ada orang nak handle with care.

Ahhhhhh. Tensyen pulak aku dengan minah ni.

Aku: Sebelum ni saya pakai Skynet jugak, pos handphone apa semua ok je.
Staff: Itu diorang tak check la tu.
Aku: Diorang bukak je tengok semua barang.
Staff: Haaa??!! Macam mana boleh lepas?

Wah…. Ingat aku pakai jampi ke hape. Dah terang – terang staff Skynet tu yang bukak kotak aku, check satu – satu, siap isi borang declare barang ape. Pastu aku sign. Itu pun kire magic ke boleh lepas.

Apekah permaslahan dengan Skynet yang aku pergi tu tak tahu ler. Aku pun confuse jadinya, nak accept ke tak aku nak courier tu. Nak kata tak nak accept, siap ambik kotak, siap tolong box, potong kotak kasi fit betul – betul dengan item. Siap tape lagi. Tapi banyak mulut pulakkkk.

Jadinya… Siap selamat la pos dslr tersebut. Dan sudahpun diterima dan diconfirmkan ok semuanya oleh pembeli tersebut.

Moral of the story di sini… Aku sangat tak paham dengan staff Skynet tersebut.

There will always be

 

This picture that I took at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, KL always will be my inspiration. I think it as “There will always be light shine on you”. Shorten a bit, it become “There will always be”.

So many possibilities that could happen, there will always be new things to try out, every day, every second of our live.

Despite right now I am so down that I can’t even focus with what I am doing with my life, this picture give me strength that there is light in the end of the tunnel. There will always be a good ending for this misery right now.

Dear God, I beg for your forgiveness for that I did lots of stupid thing, lots of sin and please guide me to the right path. The path that lead to Al-Jannah.

Note: When people are in love they tend to forget God, they think they own the world. They don’t. I think I own the world. Truthfully I don’t and last night I learn the pain of truth.

X-Men First Class

I was out with a friend. Since that his day off he called me up to go out for a movie. But first we head for our lunch at Desa Pandan. Fuh! I ordered Ikan Pari Bakar and he go for Asam Pedas Jenahak. Total damage is around RM26++. Expensive! So we eat it all :)

After done eating we check out the closest cinema with the fastest showtime is Pavillion KL. It was actually my first time going there by car. I agreed that the parking is pretty much cut throat. We pay like RM 9 …. I was like WTF, better I go for Valet Parking if like this. Also lift is quite a puzzle. We go up 5th floor. When going back down cannot take the same lift (no button at all at outside), ask a guard there we need to take Service lift. This is just like The Gardens when I took service lift and whole light turn off. Shit!

Back with X-Men First Class.

The starting kinda like Dejavu where I think I already watch the movie and I think Oh Great, I pay to watch again…. Then only I realise it is totally different movie. Haha.

I’d say the movie is great.

Shows quite well the history of Professor X and the team and how Magneto is created.

The only comment I have is they does not show people trying to cure the paralyzed Professor X. From the moment he took the bullet, so we just assume Prof X just become paralyzed without even try to prevent it?

Maybe he just accept it?

Komen KL Gangster

Dah tengok KL Gangster? Apa? Belum? Pergilah tengok. Sekarang panggung dah tak penuh dah. Tiket ada walaupun beli last minit.

Jadi aku pun tengok dekat TGV KLCC. Katanya ada renovation tapi tak nampak pun kat mana. Kerusi dia masih lagi sempit macam biasa. Lain kali tengok kat TGV Capsquare, ambik couple seat, selesa sikit.

Rasanya ramai orang sangat – sangat suka dengan Aaron Aziz. Aku lagi suka Aaron Aziz dalam cerita Dua Alam. Hehe. Tapi ramai orang tak suka cerita Dua Alam. Bagi aku Dua Alam ok apa? Tapi aku pun tak tengok kat panggung… Ehem Ehem jugak. Kalau Dr Rozmey jual cerita Dua Alam RM1 sekali download pun ok jugak kan? Tapi file sharing site dah kena block….

Apa ni, asyik off topic ja ni…

Ok. First sekali KL Gangster nampak sangat yang melayu nak cakap slang chinese, aku ingatkan sikit – sikit, tapi semua sekali macam tu. Cuma Malek (Aaron Aziz) ja yang kurang sikit slang dia. Mungkin sebab 5 tahun duduk dalam penjara. Slang dah hilang.

Kongsi bawak slang kelate (atau selatan Thailand) memang membuatkan aku suka. Lari dari kelainan. Mungkin aku expect KL Gangster menggunakan bahasa baku 100%. Haha. Gila… Jadi macam filem Yusof Haslam balik la…. Jangan jangan :P

Jalan cerita yang agak OK. Bagi aku kurang lagi penghayatan jalan cerita tu. Aksi pun kurang mendebarkan. Fighting scene tu nampak sangat staging. Walaupun memang la aku tau ni filem, bukan dokumentari ke hapa. Tapi kemon la! Gaduh tu gaduh la tapi dah macam tengah prektis pun ada. Scene yang patutnya cepat, pantas jadi slow sebab nak timing tangan dan kaki untuk tumbuk/tendang dan tepis/elak.

Komen pasal jalan cerita pulak, aku rasa banyak sangat unsur drama yang nak dimasukkan tapi kena cut sebab nak cukupkan masa ke hapa tak tau lah. Syamsul Yusof nak sambung buat drama ke?

Ada disebut King dengan Malek sama – sama naik waktu dulu. Tapi tak ada flashback (ke aku dah tertidor time flashback). Jadi aku rasa penghayatan akan lebih lagi kalau ada flashback tunjuk betapa taikonya Malek dengan King time muda – muda dulu.

Dan last sekali Syamsul Yusof pilih untuk bermain selamat. Patutnya masukkan sedikit realiti di mana orang – orang atasan pun ada hubungan dengan Gangster, tapi tak dipaparkan. Tunjuk jaga kawasan je. By orang – orang atasan aku maksudkan menteri – menteri di dalam kerajaan. Mungkin betul atau tak, tapi aku percaya realitinya ada involvement direct or indirectly. Jadi paparkanlah, lagipun cerita ni kan fiksyen, apa pun boleh jadi :)

Aku juga sangat berharap KL Gangster 2 nanti, Syamsul Yusof dapat bawak masuk Yus Jambu sebagai watak kaki pukul muka legend tapi dalam hati ada taman beb!

Overall aku enjoy tengok KL Gangster. Walaupun kesempitan disebabkan kerusi TGV yang kecik. Walaupun orang di depan aku ni kejap angkat tangan, kejap letak tangan atas kepala, kejap tegakkan badan, asyik nak blocking view. Last sekali aku hilang sabar aku tepuk bahu dia. Barulah dia tak blocking view lagi. Nak angkat tangan ke kaki ke tengok kat Astro First kat rumah la (ada ke?).

Bird Paparazzi

Nothing much in my photoshoot outing today. Merely putting back my lens to use. Before sending for service because of fungus. I really need to invest in Dry Box. But what I want is expensive, the cheaper dry box… How to say, not getting me interested. Haha.

Well I think this is a short story of a bird who just want a peaceful time eating and flying around without being stalking with big zoom lens. Haha.
